Lizzo, like Beyoncé before her, has made me change my mind about the ‘acceptable’ face of activism.
Being used to living in the shadows, when I was younger I was not a fan of drawing attention to myself even when I knew what I had to say was the truth. It’s different now.
I have discovered trailblazers, met people, been inspired to be … myself.
